1. Ozone removes insulin resistance. This disruption, which is a major cause of both obesity and Type II diabetes, improves rapidly during ozone therapy and laboratory values normalize. As a result, excess sugar in the blood is stored as glycogen (stored sugar) in the body, not as fat. In pre-diabetic individuals, both elevated blood sugar and insulin levels return to normal.

2. Ozone stimulates the formation of new capillaries. In cases of vascular occlusion, where various tissues exhibit symptoms of hypoxia (oxygen deficiency) such as pain and dysfunction, ozone therapy has been observed to improve blood circulation in these tissues. Laboratory studies supporting these clinical findings have also clarified these mechanisms. During ozone therapy, the capillary network in blocked areas enriches, and tissue nourishment returns to normal.

3. Ozone stimulates the production of white blood cells. White blood cells (leukocytes) are responsible for the body's defense against bacteria, viruses, fungi, and even cancer cells. In cases of oxygen deficiency, these blood cells become ineffective. They cannot fight harmful agents and may even attack the body's own cells (allergic reactions). Under the effect of ozone, immune mechanisms normalize, and the body tends to become desensitized to allergens.

4. Ozone significantly raises interferon levels. Interferons are proteins that play a crucial role at various stages of the immune system. It is inconceivable for the immune system to function without them. Some interferons are produced by cells infected by viruses. These interferons stimulate healthy cells, which in turn prevent viruses from entering cells. Thus, the virus cannot replicate, and its reproduction stops. Other interferons are produced by muscle cells, connective tissue, or white blood cells. Ozone can increase the production of gamma interferons by 400-900 times. This interferon is responsible for the phagocytic white blood cells' control that engulf and kill foreign or abnormal cells.

In the treatment of chronic hepatitis B and C, genital warts caused by papillomavirus, hairy cell leukemia, Kaposi's sarcoma, multiple sclerosis, and chronic granulomatous disease, synthetic interferons have been approved by the FDA.

Furthermore, clinical studies are ongoing regarding the effectiveness of interferon in treating papillomavirus-induced laryngeal warts, HIV infection, chronic myeloid leukemia, Hodgkin's lymphoma, colon tumors, kidney tumors, bladder cancer, malignant melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and leishmaniasis. However, the doses of interferon used in these diseases are highly toxic to the human body, while the interferon levels induced by ozone are always safe.

5. Ozone stimulates the production of Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF). TNF is a substance released when a tumor grows in the body. The larger the tumor, the more TNF is released (up to a certain point). When a tumor becomes metastatic, cancer cells detach from the tumor and are transported by the blood or lymph to other areas. However, if TNF suppresses the original tumor, the chances of these cancer cells surviving are greatly reduced.

6. Ozone stimulates the release of Interleukin-2 (IL-2). IL-2 is one of the cornerstones of the immune system and is produced by T-helper cells. In a process known as autostimulation, IL-2 binds to a receptor on the T-helper cell, causing it to produce more IL-2. The main function of IL-2 is to direct lymphocytes to differentiate, proliferate, and produce more T-helper, T-suppressor, cytotoxic-T, delayed-T, and T-memory cells.

7. Ozone kills most bacteria even at low concentrations. Most bacteria's metabolism is only about 1/17th as active as that of our cells. As a result, they cannot produce disposable antioxidant enzymes. Thus, very few types of bacteria can survive in an environment containing more than 2% ozone.

8. Ozone is effective against all types of fungi. Infections such as athlete's foot and stubborn yeast-fungal infections in the blood are rapidly healed with ozone.

9. Ozone is known as the best virucide (virus killer). It directly attacks the structures of viruses. The most vulnerable part of the virus to ozone's oxidizing effects is its reproductive structures. The virus enters human cells through these structures and begins replicating. When this structure is inactivated, the virus is considered dead.

Human cells infected with the virus, and thus facilitating its replication, become resistant to ozone. The cell under the metabolic load of the infection cannot produce enzymes (antioxidants) to protect and repair itself from ozone. Thus, the virus inside the cell cannot replicate further.

10. Ozone is antineoplastic (anti-cancer). Cells that proliferate rapidly, such as cancer cells, are not programmed to deal with ozone effects on their metabolism, so ozone suppresses their rapid growth.

11. Ozone oxidizes (burns-dissolves) plaques that cause narrowing in arteries. It breaks down both arteriosclerosis and atherosclerosis plaques. This shows that ozone is inclined to clear blockages not only in large vessels but also in small vessels, leading to better oxygenation of the organs supplied by these vessels.

12. Ozone increases the flexibility and shape-changing ability of red blood cells. Under a microscope, red blood cells appear disc-shaped. In capillaries, they change shape and sometimes become oval or even umbrella-like.

This property of red blood cells is crucial for efficient oxygenation in the alveoli of the lungs, as well as for their ability to carry oxygen to the most distant tissues by passing through narrow capillaries. Changes in red blood cells under the effect of ozone allow them to pass through even the tiniest vessels without sticking together, ensuring better oxygenation in the lungs and efficient oxygen delivery to the farthest tissues. After ozone therapy, blood oxygen levels are always elevated, and this elevated level can last for days or even weeks.

13. Ozone activates the citric acid cycle. The Krebs cycle, or TCA cycle, is a crucial biochemical pathway that generates energy from carbohydrates (sugars).

This reaction occurs inside cells, in the mitochondria, and burns energy stored as glucose. Ozone increases cellular energy production.
